A copper murdered her as she was walked home alone
There were a load of protests concerning women’s safety
And a certain section of society responded bravely. What did they say? They said:

Now George Floyd’s execution it went viral
And Black Lives Matter protests they did spiral
Structural racism has a deadly basis
But a certain section of society cannot face this
They say

There are white feeling uncomfortable so just shut up x 2
There are white people feeling uncomfortable
Please think of them that would be wonderful
Now trans and non binary rights are a real lifesaver
And full recognition would do those folks a big favour
But soon as they start appearing in single sex spaces
A certain section of society gets in everyone’s faces

Please think of them that would be wonderful
Now some of us have spent all lockdown working at home
And others have been out and about in the danger zone
But if you’re working class you don’t want to scream and shout it
Cos a certain section of society won’t hear about it.

The middle classes are feeling uncomfortable so just shut up x 2

Please think of them that would be wonderful
Now privilege politics can put noses out of joint
But you really have to admit sometimes there’s a point
So if you’re thinking the wrong kind of thoughts - you know the score
A certain section of society will give you what for
